Smile Builders works with most dental insurances for the convenience of our patients. While our staff makes every effort to assist you with your insurance coverage, please remember: Smile Builders is not responsible for how your insurance company handles its claims…or what benefits they provide. We can only assist in estimating your portion of the cost of treatment. We cannot guarantee what your insurance will or will not do with each claim.
On the day of your child’s treatment, Smile Builders collects your portion for the treatment performed. We process the insurance claim for you and will collect the remaining balance directly from your insurance. If your insurance does not allow direct payment to our office or won’t verify their fee schedule, you are responsible for paying the entire balance. We will then direct the insurance company to reimburse their portion of the payment to you (within 3 to 6 weeks of treatment). You are responsible for discrepancies between estimated insurance payments and actual insurance payments received. You will be credited for any excess insurance payment. Please notify us of any changes in your benefits, as we verify your benefits when you become a new patient. No changes will be assumed unless notification is provided. It is the patients’ responsibility to know their benefit status. Smile Builders cannot be held responsible if patients exceed maximum benefit limit. Our goal is to maximize your insurance benefits but please remember: insurance is meant as an aid to receiving dental care.
